Human resources

Hands sometimes tell you plenty. I was watching my Mum’s at the weekend as she flicked away at the knitting needles in a comforting rhythm I remembered from being a kid. She was very dexterous; it was a cardigan for her grand daughter she was making. There’s a great song by Bill Withers by Gil Scott-Heron called Grandma’s Hands

Yes, there is something inherently comforting in watching a woman knit. That’s why watching a man do it is alien to the senses. Well, it is to mine. Big telly there, Mum. 😉
