This is Not a Murder Ballad

though it is being murdered. I was inspired to go looking for some Dylan after seeing this pithy little letter which was inserted as the last note of a thread in the Guardian letters page where the great and the good of literature have co-signed a letter of sanction on Waterstones, saying that they must not let Blair sign his book in their Piccadilly branch since he is a war criminal etc. The pithy letter is as follows:

Bob Dylan said it all in Masters of War: “Let me ask you one question/Is your money that good?/Will it buy you forgiveness?/Do you think that it could?”

Colin Livett

Hull

I couldn’t get Masters of War on youtube so I got something that rhymed.
