Supermodelling tonight

It’s a while since we took our camera out and Vogue-strike-a-posed; you’d think we didn’t need the money the blithe way we carry on.

Lovely photos, Dylan’s tail really is extraordinary!

    Doggie pix are back. Hurrah!

Our dog undergoes surgery tomorrow for a broken jaw after being savagely mauled by a bull terrier. She is lucky to still be alive.

It is strange how empty the house seems in her absence.

Looks like I will have quite a bit of nursing to do in the weeks ahead.

It’s funny how the photos I took this weekend (not posted yet) have the same bleach blue quality. Must be the East coast air.

Hope your dog is better soon Calvin, it sounds terrible 😦

  4. Stephen Foster says:

Calvin that’s awful. Will anything happen about the attacking dog?

  5. Stephen Foster says:

Hi Geraldine! It’s not just a special tail, it’s the stuff he does with it. Under circumstances of extreme alarm it points due north like the conductor at the back of a dodgem.

It has allegedly been put down. My wife saw the dog in the owner’s car on Friday morning and he said he was taking it to Animal Control.

The surgery has been postponed. The surgeon wants to carry out further investigations of possible neurological damage. Evidently the broken jaw diagnosis does not explain all of her symptoms.

    Thanks for your kind thoughts.

  8. Chiffs says:

I’m sorry to hear it, Calvin. Hope she gets on the mend quickly, and the vet doesn’t find anything awful.

  9. OS says:

Calvin, that is truly awful. Hope things are better soon.

    Mick.

    Good pics, winger and ChiffS.

After a day of further tests, she is back home with us and looking more like herself.

The surgeon decided not to operate, saying that the jaw will heal by itself and that a dog’s canine teeth keep the jaw aligned correctly.

It’s going to be soft food for the next two months. Turkey baby food has gone down a treat, mixed with water to make sure that she gets enough fluids.

So within the space of 24 hours, things have improved considerably.

    Thanks for your concern.

  11. OS says:

    That’s very good news, Calvin.
