Q. Why don’t writers look out of the window in the mornings?

A. So they will have something to do in the afternoons!

Our great friend Rosie bought these round as part of our Easter gift on Sunday. Ms T A herself has spent this afternoon converting some splendid but otherwise ordinary chicks…

…into the Dixie Chicks, and then she photographed them, and now I have wasted no time at all in introducing them to the wider public. To give some idea of scale, the microphone stand is a rawlplug. We once saw, and greatly admired, the work of an artist (whose name I can’t remember) on display in the Tate – his pieces consisted of Lego models of many and various gigs by the Manic Street Preachers complete with the empty mic stand for missing Richey.
