Pushing the envelope

Dread phrase isn’t it, only ever uttered by some complete stinker into a mobile phone on a train; the originates of it are explained here. Otherwise, brown bills with plastic windows aside, I am in favour of envelopes; they are rectangular of course, and may contain exciting hand-written messages as they drop through the rectangular letterbox. My favourite kind are made of white laid paper (120g/m²) by the stationery firm Conquerer, the slight relief of the paper adding exponentially to the allure.
