They’ve Let them All out Today

An influential blog visitor has requested some sort of competition to say what we think of this tremendous N-a-bit-on-its-side professionally designed and paid for logo for the newly re-branded ‘Norwich University College of the Arts,’ neé The Norwich School of Art and Design.

Gwilym, who to my way of thinking has hit a rich vein of form lately, says:

It’d look ok on a GESTAPO overcoat.

Did the local traffic warden design it?

further to down there.. the angle of the lop sided N brings to mind the angle a bus can lean round a corner before it falls over, which helps parents when their kids are thinking of going there as it suggests NUCA’s implied edginess resides in well tested parameters and no real danger will occur

<- you’ll notice i’m properly logged in. thoughts on my badly constructed sentences would be welcomed

  2. Stephen Foster says:

Nice rhythm, but poor punctuation: two hyphens needed on compounds and absences include Caps, a Period, and the traditonal third point on the ellipse.

Now excuse me I’m rather busy trying to get a poll set up on this post.

  3. chiffs says:

How about this for a slogan:

NUCOA, the New Cocoa (or should that be Cacao?)

  4. It’d look ok on a GESTAPO overcoat.

Did the local traffic warden design it?

I like it. What do you want for a bloody backwater place? It will stand out like a beacon amongst the ailing MCG’s who dodder about the cultural quarter looking for a free coffee.

(I’m the single ‘It Rocks’ vote.) 😉

    GG.

  6. AndyP says:

It reminds me (unsurprisingly you’ll say) of something you might see on the railways warning about overhead electricity lines. Frankly it’s crap therefore no doubt cost about £200k.

You might as well just say: I’m a looney.

  8. Panini Pete. says:

Shouldn’t it be a smaller ‘N’ and placed to the right and middle of the Black square to signify how alianated (a good thing in this case) Norwich and its people is.
