Rare creature
I was looking for a picture of something specific, Stoke City-related, oddly enough, but I could not find it and then I found this instead; there’s not a day go by I don’t think of that animal.
While we’re at it
I’ve been looking for this photo for ages, I thought I’d managed to wipe it, but no, I’d actually got it saved in three different locations and couldn’t see for looking. I regard it as my most professional-looking effort ever, … Continue reading

Ollie
Up in the dunes with Dylan this morning. It’s two years today since his mate went. I often wish and imagine that some little wraith cast-off will pass our way in a cosmic manner, but so far not.

A tree for Ollie
Received a wonderful email this morning from Blog visitor Geraldine who has planted this ‘Tilia Oliveri’ in Ireland for Ollie. It’s National Tree Week in Ireland, and, to complete the circle and introduce an East Anglian dimension, the tree itself … Continue reading

Festive recipe tip # 2
As far as I can tell, from the ‘public response’ : disregard Recipe tip # 1. Here instead is a picture of this blog’s favourite Old Rascal, who will always ‘dis’ both myself, as well as and my culinary and … Continue reading
Diane’s Ollie
Sister’s Ollie. She is 40 this weekend. How she can be older than me when she was born six years later I don’t know. She is good, no?
