Because there is always the prospect of food emerging from somewhere, you seldom see him sleep without the precautionary one-eye-open.

Isn’t that part and parcel of being a dog?
I am glad it has stopped raining in Britain and doggy pix have returned.
Go custard?
Go doggy pix!
Go Custard yourself. I might put the ‘Creme Anglais’ recipe up later. That’s posh custard for personnages who eshew Birds.
We could have done with that on Sunday
The apple/pear/sherry confection went down well but I rather messed up the crumble topping using leftover cranachan ingredients (oatmeal) for some reason. Thanks for the inspiration; a pity I introduced deviation.
PS “eshew” would be the bare minimum, spit on springs to mind. There I admit it. I am custard phobic.
Spooky Oatmeal synchronicity.
What did you have then? Please don’t say yoghurt.
Yes, naturally, goats yoghurt en famille in our hair shirts.
Double cream all the way, why else would I cycle.
Okay – keep your hairshirt on! – that ought to have neutralised the oats in the topping : )
Oats would have been better, the oatmeal is gritty. Not recommended except lightly toasted with double cream, honey, whisky and raspberries.
Do you mean to tell me that Dylan likes his food? That cannot be possible! Anyone would think that he was Tareefa’s son!!!!
Teeeheeee!
Teehee back! How r u?
We are all great thanks. Hating all this rain though
Yummy, to makemeadiva!!! That sounds just like the thing to cure my bronchitis!!!!
Btw, you were right…Drzl’s leg is fine. The vet said to distract her with toys when she begins licking it. Full time job now that we have snow here in Maine again. She’s tip toeing around in it, but hates her coat and spends her time trying to rip the dratted thing off!
